Learn to build a communication app with NativeScript

In the book Getting Started with NativeScript, you will learn how to build a communication application. While doing so, you will learn to use the essential features of a NativeScript application. Take a look at the end result:

As you can see from the above images, the application works much like an IM client. Since it's based on NativeScript, you get an iOS version as well as an Android version from the same code base.

While reading Getting Started with NativeScript, I grew to appreciate the nuanced approach to not only showing how to do a certain skill, but why that skill was important. Also, inside the book is a lot veteran information that comes from a developer who has already found the minefields. Thus, reading this book will help you avoid some of the common pitfalls for those new to NativeScript in particular, and mobile development in general. By the time you reach the end of the book, you will have a good grasp on how to build applications with NativeScript.
